Last weekend, Kelsey and I spent four days in Copenhagen. If I'm being perfectly honest, this entire adventure was all on her; I knew next to nothing about Copenhagen or Denmark. She booked the hotel, our days, and I went along for the ride, simply taking in the ultra trendy and beautiful city that is Copenhagen.
We were in walking distance to everything on our list, so on our way to the art gallery, we stumbled across this magnificent garden and military building.
Once we made it to the National Gallery, we were greeted/confused by large fragmented copper sculptures dispersed around the modern wing. It took us a minute or twelve to piece it together, but each piece adds up to something bigger...

It's Danh Vo's installation of the Statue of Liberty. We were both blown away by this work and learned that the copper sheeting on the real Statue of Liberty is only 3/32 of an inch– the thickness of two pennies placed together.
After spending a solid three hours at the gallery we explored around the city center until we found a spot for lunch.
We decided on Bistro Huks Fluks and had the absolute coolest waitress help us decide on what to lunch on!

Bellies full, we attempted to keep exploring and walk it off, but of course we came across more food at the Christmas Market.
