Seasonal Whispers

Seasonal Whispers is a handmade jewelry company designed in downtown TriBeCa founded by a mother and daughter, Esther Lixenberg and Yafit Goldfarb. Their vision, to create jewelry as ever-changing as the seasons and as easy to wear as a whisper, really spoke to my mama and I since we fell in love with their designs a few years ago and cannot get enough of their bracelets! These photographs are from their Soho location that my mama and I always make sure to visit whenever we're in Manhattan. Last month, we had the pleasure of meeting Yafit while we stopped in and had a fabulous time shopping and trying on new designs!

six snaps

There is nothing like a San Francisco summer...

but beautiful sunny days spent at the beach remind us that it is actually June, not winter.

Zazie

Growing up in Cole Valley, I took for granted some of the neighborhood favorites, such as Zazie, which is now one of my favorite restaurants in the city. The French bistro, named after a 1960s French film called Zazie, is known for their delicious brunches, seen here, but dinner is never a let down. My dad and I went last evening for a delicious meal outside on the garden patio and had trouble narrowing down our choices on the menu since nearly every option looked amazing.

I started with Salade Betterave: arugula, red and gold beets, fennel, avocados, and white balsamic gorgonzola vinaigrette

we split Pate de Volaille before moving on to our entrees & noshed on the warm delicious bread rolls.

dear ol' dad had Truite de Camille: a broiled deboned trout with preserved lemon thyme butter, almonds, and greens

I had Pasta de Printemps: fresh fettuccine with almond basil pesto (ahhmazing!!), spring asparagus, and sheep's milk feta.

The burger and lemon ricotta raviolis are great, but I'm eager to try the grilled marscarpone polenta cakes, the mac and cheese, and the crispy duck leg. What is your favorite dish from Zazie?

flower power

I'm a firm believer in constantly having fresh flowers in your home, office, or any other space you spend a lot of time in. I love photographing flowers and having them around me because they make me happier; fresh flowers can brighten a dull room or someone else's mood all together. Flower shops are dangerous for me because I get overwhelmed and want every single flower in multiple colors. I'm currently loving peonies and sorbet colored roses. What is your favorite flower?

a bouquet of flowers is always a great gift,

especially when paired with jewelry and some bubbly!
