Boston Day 2!

Yesterday was full of laughs and lobstaaaa and I mean that very literally. We started off the day with a leisurely stroll through our neighborhood, Downtown Crossing, walked near the Commons, and ended up at the harbor.

Before hopping on a trolley tour, we devoured a quick lunch. I went for fish & chips with a bloody mary and Brig opted for fried oysters. YUM!

A bit of a gloomy, damp day, but we had an absolute laugh on the trolley, seeing all the major parts of the city, stopping by Fenway, and heading over the Charles to Cambridge to see MIT and that bit of town.

We hopped off the Trolley around Boston Commons since we're not staying far from there, in hopes of finding the Cheer's bar. Super touristy, but couldn't help but have a good time and embrace it.

For dinner, Brig had a surprise for me. We went to a joint on the harbor called Legal Sea Foods. When she said we were going to one of the best spots for seafood, I said alright absolutely, let's go. Little did I know we would be in a lobsta induced coma shortly after ordering.

Everything sounded appareling so we decided to split it all up and taste a little of each (the best way to dine, in my book!). I started with lobster bisque and we quickly jumped into tackling the entrees - lobster roll, french fries, onion rings, fried New England clams, mashed potatoes, and mushrooms. I know... and a Sam Adams to top it all off. Who are we?! Our third lobster roll of the trip, and def the best one by far!! The lobster bisque...SO tasty.

I'm loving the city so far, especially the seafood, and our location is so central it's been amazing – just hoping for some better, sunnier weather today!
Enjoy your Sunday. We're off to the aquarium!

Boston

So we've got a few days off from school so Brigid and I are in Boston until Tuesday. Just exploring and knockin about. I've never been before but am already lovvvvving it - most comparable city to England in the US in my book! I'm loving the downtown area we're staying in, all the brick and one way roads. We checked out Fanuiel Hall this morning and stumbled upon a farmers market. Starting to really feel like fall here!

We got a late start to our day so Lobster rolls & oysters were our breakfast...around 2pm...oops! But so soooo yummy.

Went and shopped around for a bit and then found ourselves in a pub, naturally.

Can she get any cuter? Seriously...the hat, so quiche.

easily the highlight of my day, casually running into Ben Franklin makin' his way downtown

a quick froyo break before stopping back to the apartment

off to find some authentic Italian/seafood for dinner, any recommendations?!
