The Coffee Dress

Here's a little back story about this dress. My mom purchased it for me and I said I liked it, but it was one of those pieces where I was thinking okay it's great, but where am I wearing this thing? Naturally my mom goes, "oh you know just out in the neighborhood to get a coffee". So once I showed it to the roomies, the dress instantly became known as "the coffee dress". I hadn't worn it and it just hung in my closet for months until Friday morning my roomies came up with a chant for the dress...no lie. So we (Jaclyn, myself, and the coffee dress) made our way over to Wicker Park, to try all of the good things we've been hearing about Bro Bagel. The dudes who run Piece Pizza in Wicker Park opened up this bagel joint next door. After seeing it listed on Sosh, we knew we had to try it since finding a good bagel in Chicago is harder than you'd think.

After our bagels and lattes at Bru, we explored the charming streets of Wicker Park, taking tons of photos and agreeing that it's one of our favorite neighborhoods in Chicago. We eventually hopped on the train to head downtown and shot some more pics!
Enjoy.

Blogger Crush: Sincerely Jules

I'm seriously obsessed with her style (if you couldn't tell). She puts together funky, fem pieces with a classic yet tomboy twist in a way that I adore. So it's no surprise that when Jac and I found out she'd be in Chicago giving a talk to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, there was zero question that we'd be attending.

Chatting with her post-panel was a complete pleasure; she is so refreshingly honest and gooooorgeous. Seriously, one of the sweetest and most down to earth people I have ever met. We talked about the importance of women support other women and how much family means to her. Speaking of family, the icing on the cake was when she asked if we were sisters. Jac and I get this a lot, and have no idea why people think this, but coming from Jules was all the validation we ever needed. From now on, we're twins.

Even if you're not as into the style aspect, but just looking for a new person to follow to spicen up your insta-feed, give her a follow to see her amazing food & travel snaps. Check here to see if she'll be coming to an area near you and to read the short interview she did with Macys. It was such a treat and a great way to kick off our weekend! Thank you Jules!
