The Papa

Wednesday morning we had the pleasure of crowding into St. Peter's Square in order to catch a glimpse at Pope Francesco and hear the papal address. We caught more of a glimpse at the "Big Guy" and were all in awe, along with the hundreds of other locals and travelers. It was beyond humbling to hear his blessing in so many different languages, surrounded by people from all over the world, especially Argentina, in the middle of Bernini's masterpiece that is St. Peter's piazza.

After seeing these cheerful angelic brides, we were starving so headed off to find lunch!

realizing how strong Limoncello actually is…

After plates of clementines, cookies, and finishing off our vino, we said ciao & grazie to Mario and continued to explore Roma.

Dublin!

A quick trip over to Dublin for the weekend served as a little reminder of life in the UK that is so very different from the Italian lifestyle I'm getting accustomed to.  I was unaware of the fact that I'd be there for the Six Nations rugby weekend so it's safe to say it was a weekend of pints, pubs, and men in kilts (since the Scots were playing in Ireland). A brilliant weekend, even with all the rain.
