dogpatch

Being home in San Francisco for the summer is lovely. Although I've grown up here my entire life, there is still so much to see and explore. Sometimes getting lost in a city you think you know like the back of your hand can be fun. That's what Kelsey and I did on our trip to Mr. and Mrs. Miscellaneous, a local ice cream shop in the dogpatch neighborhood that I've been dying to try.

They're known for exotic flavors that you really won't see anywhere else, evident in my cone, Meyer lemon with candied violet petals (whaaat!). Kelsey went with brown butter that tasted like thick salted rich caramel. Not only are the flavors changing throughout the day, but the cones are not as expensive as one would think!

We enjoyed our ice cream on a walk with Sadie. The industrial setting was really funky but still awe-inspiring.

Sadie was enjoying a neck rub and decided it was time to leave, so we hopped over to Hayes Valley (another spot for amazing ice cream at smitten! See here) for a walk around our favorite shops.

This shop inspired me to create a Mother's Day bouquet of a mixture of fun colors & textures...post to come, stay tuned!
